The University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher (100%, TV-L EG13) to join the innovative BEATLE project. Dive into groundbreaking work exploring the synergies and trade-offs between organic and conventional agriculture, with a special focus on pollination services and biodiversity conservation in sustainable agri-food systems.
📅 Start Date: February 1, 2025 (or later)
📍 Location: University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany
💰 Competitive Salary: €63,000+ per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a CGE model for Germany that integrates both organic and conventional food sectors.
- Analyze pollination services’ role in agricultural productivity and biodiversity.
- Work on transformation scenarios and feedback loops between land use, pollination, and crop yields.
- Contribute to publications and new project proposals.
Qualifications:
- PhD in agricultural/environmental economics or related field
- Proficiency in GAMS, R, and knowledge of Python or Julia is an asset
- Strong skills in data analysis, programming, and biodiversity conservation
