The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Research Fellow for a project titled “High Throughput DNA Sequencing-based Identification of Sugarcane Varieties/Hybrids and Unveiling of Ancestry Relationship in Local Cultivars” at NIGAB, NARC, Islamabad. This prestigious position requires an MPhil/MSc (Hons) degree in Plant Breeding & Genetics from an HEC-recognized university with a first division in the final degree and no third division in the academic career.

Candidates with research experience in the breeding/biotechnology of sugarcane crops will be given preference. The selected candidate will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs. 50,000 per month. The initial contract is for six months, extendable based on performance or the project’s duration. The walk-in interview will be held on 20th August 2024 at the NARC Executive Committee Room, Chak Shahzad, Islamabad. Interested Pakistani nationals are encouraged to apply.
