Eligibility Criteria

To be considered eligible for PhD Scholarships in the USA, candidates must

  • Be a Pakistani or AJK national
  • Hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree (BS, BSc, BET, or 16 years of formal education)
  • Have no 2nd or 3rd division in their academic career
  • Be under 35 years of age or 40 years for faculty members of public sector universities and R&D organizations

 

Eligibility Criteria of Each Program

Category I: Top 50-Ranked US Universities

Candidates applying to Category I must

  • Be admitted to a top 50 world-ranked US university based on overall or subject ranking.
  • Hold a valid GRE score of a minimum of 300 or an HEC HAT score of a minimum of 60 percent.t
  • Receive full or partial funding from the host institution
  • Apply only for PhD programs and not for MS leading to PhD

Category II: US Universities Ranked 51-300

Applicants in this category must

  • Be admitted to a university ranked between 51 and 300 in global university rankings.
  • Hold a valid HEC HAT or GRE score
  • Not exceed tuition and living costs of USD 15000 to 30000 annually
